At the end of April our tourists returned from a trip around the Maldives on a new yacht Ariyal. It was a big group of non-divers, they were not planning to dive fully. The guys just wanted to spend a good week in the ocean, have fun, admire the scenery and beautiful sunsets, fishing and swimming. We organize such tours too.
Emotions from their vacation were as positive as possible, although there were small overlaps, which, however, did not spoil the overall impression.
A new boat is cool, but there are some things that are hard to predict at first. That's why we always strongly recommend waiting at least six months after launching a yacht before booking it.
Firstly, only in open water can “ uncover ” flaws that are not noticeable on land. Secondly, the crew needs to get used to each other and get experience working on a particular boat.
But even liveaboards tested by dozens of safaris may not be ideal. That's why we have a cruise director, Mox Ismail, who regularly inspects the boats. He communicates with guests and boat crew, takes “live” photos and videos. If you book a full charter, he can also visit the yacht and give you an online tour (by prior arrangement).
