On the Surface – Terrible, Yet They are Good Inside. Nurse Sharks

1. Generally slow they spend most of their time on the ocean bottom. They usually rest in groups of up to 40 individuals during the day and hunt alone at night.

2. Nurses feed on crustaceans, sea urchins, fish and squid. For humans, they are completely safe. Such a shark can bite you only when careless handling, having sensed danger.

3. Females reach a length of 2.5 to 3 meters and a weight of 75 to 105 kilograms. Males are larger.
